YARIS FOR YOUR DOG - ASK "DOC"

A Word From Second Home Pet Resort

Heatstroke (Hyperthermia)dog heat stroke

In Arizona, where heatstroke is all too common for people and pets alike, the best way to protect your pet from falling victim to this serious or even fatal condition is to know its signs and treatments.

First, remember that your dog has to be "conditioned" to outside exercise just like you do.  Don't begin with an hour-long jog or desert hike; start with small, 15-minute walks around your neighborhood and over several weeks, gradually increase to more lengthy outings.  ALWAYS carry plenty of water for both you and your dog, and don't forget to bring a collapsible bowl for your dog to drink from!

Heatstroke occurs when normal body mechanisms cannot keep the body's temperature in a safe range.  Animals do not have efficient cooling systems (like humans who sweat), and they can get overheated easily.  A dog with moderate heatstroke (body temperature from 104-106 degrees Fahrenheit) can recover within an hour if given prompt first aid and veterinary care (normal dog body temperature is 100-102.5 degrees Fahrenheit).  Severe heatstroke (body temperature above 106 degree Fahrenheit) can be deadly, and immediate veterinary treatment is required.  Click HERE to learn what to look for, and how to immediately help your dog...

BBQ - Classic Car - Bill

The Two for the Road staff Boomer ( Cathy Droz ) and X ( Melanie Droz ) went to Phoenix Automotive Press Association ( P.A.P.A.) meeting and our guest speakers were from the Historic Vehicle Association.

Did you know that a charcoal BBQ grill gives off 3X more carbon than a classic car?

Bill was busy recording vignettes for Two for the Road so he couldn't make the meeting.  Talk about old, I mean classic!

LEXUS LF-Gh --- What You Can Expect

Two for the Road USA wishes to present in several segments ...
what to expect from the Lexus LF-Gh.

In The Grand Touring Tradition

With the LF-Gh, Lexus takes the idea of the grand touring sedan one step further. The LF-Gh was designed to be a high-performance concept capable of providing a moving driving experience, and comfortably transporting multiple occupants at higher speeds on long-distance drives. It combines a strong sense of presence and emotional appeal with functional attributes, supplying enhanced creature comforts plus the practical ability to transport personal supplies and luggage necessary for extended travel. Even while maintaining serene passenger comfort, it is a car designed to inspire and captivate the driver as hours behind the wheel accumulate.

The bold, wide stance is consistent with the goal of inspiring dynamic excellence on the road. Fundamentally, these are the proportions of an agile, responsive sedan built on an advanced rear-wheel-drive platform. The distinctive long greenhouse design provides the potential for functional passenger benefits, such as generous interior room for all four passengers, ample cargo area, and excellent forward visibility.

LED lighting hints at the range and scope of new materials, electronics and dynamic systems that endow this concept vehicle with state-of-the-art performance, driving control, and safety features. Overall, the LF-Gh’s styling embodies the definition of what an authentic grand touring sedan from Lexus could be.

COPPERSTATE 1000 - When the wind picks up

Twofor Theroad-usa - PAPA Event - Phoenix Automotive Press Association

Copperstate 1000 - The journalists from the Phoenix Press Association went to Happy Jack Lodge to meet the participants of the Sunday, three - day event.

What a beautiful drive. I couldn't help but notice some of the garb these seasoned drivers wear when the wind picks up. I didn't expect Bill to walk behind my shot however.
