2011 Challenger SRT8 392 Inaugural Edition
With the pony cars wars in full swing, Dodge felt the need to up the anti with the SRT8 Challenger and the result is the new 470 horsepower 392 cubic inch Hemi that produces 470 horsepower and a whopping 470 lb-ft of metal moving torque. The bump up to a 6.4 liter from 6.1 may not seem like a big thing but what it does is allow for more torque at a lower rpm. So what you end up with is 470 lb-ft of torque at 4200 rpm instead of 420 lb-ft at 4800 rpm. Bottom line, 0-60 time is quicker at 4.5 seconds and the quarter mile time is faster.Saturday, April 23, 2011
A Word From Second Home Pet Resort
Heatstroke (Hyperthermia)
In Arizona, where heatstroke is all too common for people and pets alike, the best way to protect your pet from falling victim to this serious or even fatal condition is to know its signs and treatments.
First, remember that your dog has to be "conditioned" to outside exercise just like you do. Don't begin with an hour-long jog or desert hike; start with small, 15-minute walks around your neighborhood and over several weeks, gradually increase to more lengthy outings. ALWAYS carry plenty of water for both you and your dog, and don't forget to bring a collapsible bowl for your dog to drink from!
Heatstroke occurs when normal body mechanisms cannot keep the body's temperature in a safe range. Animals do not have efficient cooling systems (like humans who sweat), and they can get overheated easily. A dog with moderate heatstroke (body temperature from 104-106 degrees Fahrenheit) can recover within an hour if given prompt first aid and veterinary care (normal dog body temperature is 100-102.5 degrees Fahrenheit). Severe heatstroke (body temperature above 106 degree Fahrenheit) can be deadly, and immediate veterinary treatment is required. BBQ - Classic Car - Bill
Did you know that a charcoal BBQ grill gives off 3X more carbon than a classic car?
Bill was busy recording vignettes for Two for the Road so he couldn't make the meeting. Talk about old, I mean classic!
